...is forever

(Ed. Note - please read "All Over Your Face" before reading this post)

the goons' love of comics is a testament to our love for good stories. but on the flip side of that, nothing pisses off the wonju more than a bad story. it really bothers me that these crap writings can so easily find their way out of some idiot's mind to ruin someone else's life. anyways, i'll probably never forgive my sixth grade teacher for that time she made us read science fiction written by other elementary school students. why??? you really want us to read shit that'll make us want to stop reading?

actually, it turns out that one of the stories really got to me. it was about a girl who comes back from the future to save her great-great-great-granddaddy, or to help him to save the world from something that really didn't matter much anyways. point being, she was from the future. and her great-great-granddaddy being a kid, she didn't understand all of his "slang." so anytime grandpa would say "shut the fuck up, you stupid cunt" she would program that into her watch, which would tell her "be quiet, girl." well, at the end of the story, it turns out they did save the world, and the grandpa says "looks like we saved the world." and the chick goes "cool"... but she says it without referring to her watch. and before grandpa could ask how she knew the word "cool," girlie goes "i didn't have to look... cool is forever."

"WHAT THE FUCK???" i must've yelled out loud as i read that. something about that line... just the fact that some kid actually wrote something that stupid. it was just one of those rare moments in my life when i became so consumed with rage that i was mad at everyone who made such a moment possible. i wanted to take a dump and throw it at my teacher's face. i wanted to fly out to wherever in america that this kid writer lived and smack him around while i made him choke on those words. cool is forever???? ridiculous...

but the other day, mrbingle and i were talking, and mrbingle asked me how long we're gonna be using the phrase "all over your face." and before i even knew it, i was telling him "dude, all over your face is forever." man, i wasn't sure what to think. should i find my sixth grade teacher and tell her sorry for wanting to throw poo at her face? or should i just be happy that "all over your face" may very well out-live me. guess i'll just have to wait til the day when my own great-great-granddaughter comes to warn me "something bad is coming... ALL OVER YOUR FACE!!!"
